My story

When I was 18, I was asked in front of a few hundred people, “If you could change one thing about the world to make it better, what would it be?” I did not hesitate. “I would ask people to trust and be trustworthy.” Decades later, that is still my mission.

Today, as a life coach and organizational consultant, I use my expertise in educational science to connect to mind and heart, creating and implementing sustainable programming on:

  • Personal accountability

  • Positive communication

  • Bias to action

  • Engagement and belonging

  • Integrity based on true alignment

Over the years, my idealism and entrepreneurial spirit have guided me to take action to help others on their journeys. It has not always been an easy road. In 2003, our family had more than one close call that left me feeling broken, lost and unworthy. (For the full story, listen to my interview “Live Inspired with Hilary Bilbrey”.)

What I have learned from my experiences is that the key to a positive culture starts with helping individuals see and trust themselves. When we have a positive, articulated identity, it drives our beliefs. Our beliefs drive our actions. Our actions drive our integrity. When we have integrity, we trust ourselves, which reinforces our identity. From this foundation, all interactions become more positive and productive.

I share my experience and learnings by living out my brand of service and joy in any of my inspired living businesses:

more about Hilary

I have been very privileged to live in Germany, Spain, Poland, England and throughout the US. My family currently resides in Southern California near the beaches and mountains, although I was mostly raised in Minnesota.

Hiking is my absolute passion, and I recently completed the Grand Canyon rim to Rim in half a day with amazing women warriors. A little-known fact is that I have a black belt in Tae Kwon Do because I wanted to be registered as a lethal weapon before I was 40.

One of my favorite things in the universe is to gather with friends and family over red wine, fresh food and loads of laughter.
